Klimt with his
Golden Woman
A re-reading of Klimt’s golden portrait — costume transformed into editorial, where ornament becomes atmosphere.
The concept
From canvas to cloth to skin.
The series takes Klimt’s gilded portraits as a starting point and asks what happens when the painting is worn. Costume, light and pattern are restaged as photography — the flat gold of the canvas becoming texture, weight and movement on the body.
Deep shadow holds the gold in tension; the woman is never fully revealed, always emerging from ornament.
